HOF Vote Season 26

Here are the players I voted for and a brief description as to why I voted for them:
Marty Schrenk
Age: 39B/T: R/R
Born: Whippany, NJ
Position(s): LF/RF
View Hardball Dynasty Profile
Marty Schrenk:
10 Time All Star, 4 Time MVP, 6 Time Silver Slugger RF/LF/DH, 3 Time Gold Glove LF/RF, .294/.368/.594, 740 HR. I think it's criminal that he's not already been elected, He's got all the hardware and all the stats to back it up

Joseph Tanaka
Age: 38B/T: R/R
Born: Seoul, KR
Position(s): CF
View Hardball Dynasty Profile
Joseph Tanaka:
11 Time All Star, 11 Time Gold Glove CF, 1 Time Silver Slugger CF (and would have had many more if not for Mendoza) .272/.382/.510, 561 HR, 353 SB, 324 Plus plays (CF). In my opinion, the most complete player I've ever seen in HBD. Is hands down the best defensive player Banks World has ever seen, has over 100 more Plus Plays than the next closest player in world history and did it at one of the two most important defensive positions. Has over 500 HRs and 350 SBs.

Rafael Mendoza
Age: 37B/T: L/L
Born: Villa Mella, DO
Position(s): CF

Rafael Mendoza:
12 Time All Star, 12 Time Silver Slugger CF, .302/.409/.529, 384 HR, 500 2B, 608 SB. Best Offensive CF in world history, could competently handle CF defensively. 4th all time in career Stolen Bases and has more HRs than the rest of the top 5 combined.

Jerry Womack
Age: 37B/T: R/R
Born: Pascagoula, MS
Position(s): RF

Jerry Womack:
6 Time All Star, 2 Time MVP, 3 Time Silver Slugger RF, .290/.349/.605, 612 HR, 91 Assists (RF). One of the best power hitters in Banks World history, the career leader in RF Assists, Multiple MVP winner, 612 HRs.

Al Neill
Age: 37B/T: R/R
Born: Shallowater, TX
Position(s): 3B/2B
View Hardball Dynasty Profile
Al Neill:
7 Time All Star, NL Rookie of the Year, Gold Glove 2B, 4 Time Silver Slugger 2B/3B, .292/.362/.552, 433 HR, 398 2B, 489 SB, 106 Plus Plays 3B/2B. Complete player, did everything exceptionally well. While he may not have the eye popping HR totals of some of the other candidates, he's arguably as valuable as the other 4 listed here. I'm willing to admit personal bias on this selection, but I would feel him deserving regardless.

Top Free Agents

Free agency has begun and franchises might be looking to add the talent needed to put them over the top in season 26.  There are five free agents who stand out among this seasons crop as potential difference makers.

Howard Schneider
Age: 33B/T: R/R
Born: Steeleville, IL
Position(s): P (SP1)

SP Howard Schneider
During an amazing NINTH straight Cy Young award winning season last year Howard went 24-6, a 2.81 ERA and 1.08 WHIP.  Also striking out 222 batters in 259 IP.  Schneider has been consistently great no doubt.  Could he lead your team to a ring while grabbing his third?

Cesar James
Age: 27B/T: L/L
Born: Hampstead, NC
Position(s): P (P)

SP Caesar James
One of the youngest top flight SP Free Agents, James went little used last season. An aggregate Stat Line of 33 W-34 L, 1.58 WHIP, 5.40 ERA may scare some owners off, but the ratings say different. A great fit for the right franchise.

Santiago Castro
Age: 34B/T: R/R
Born: Nizao de Bani, DO
Position(s): DH/1B

1B/DH Santiago Castro
While not nearly as decorated a free agent, Castro's bat would be a force in almost any ones lineup.  Santiago posted averages of .296/.384/.503 while compiling 31 HR, 118 RBI and 102 RS last year.  Already owning 2 rings himself, will he claim a third while wearing your cap?

Mac Yacko
Age: 34B/T: R/R
Born: San Juan, PR
Position(s): 2B/IF/OF/DH
View Hardball Dynasty Profile
CIF/COF Mac Yacko
5 time All Star, Former MVP, RF Gold Glove, 3 time CF Silver Slugger. Mac Yacko may be getting up in age and only able to spot start in CF these days, but he can certainly still rake and would be a perfect fit at 3B for any franchise with the need. Had a "down season" last year, but was still among the league leaders at his position.

Sal Fonda
Age: 31B/T: R/R
Born: De Forest, WI
Position(s): 2B/3B/LF
View Hardball Dynasty Profile

CIF/COF Sal Fonda
The consummate lead off man, with a career OBP of .393, Sal Fonda at only 31 is one of the younger top flight position Free Agents. Can spot start at 2B, can probably be a passable 3B, likely ++ defender at a COF spot, LF especially. If you have power in the middle of your lineup, there's not a better table setter to be signed this offseason.

Minimum Win Requirement

Banks World,
We are proposing to enforce the Minimum Win Requirement rule for this season, as outlined in the Private World Rules section : http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Correspondence/PrivateWorldRules.aspx

Since we had to go public to fill, there will be a slight modification for the 55 win rule in the first season: a review committee will be established to look at any team that fails to win 55 games. If it's determined that the owner(s) made a good faith effort to meet the MWR, then they'll be allowed to stay. If it's determined that the owner(s) had the means to win 55, but failed to do so they will be asked to leave.
